October 1918 Chung-Ang Kindergarten established at Chung-Ang Methodist Church
September 1922 Kindergarten Teacher Certificate Program established at Chung-Ang kindergarten
September 1928 Accredited as Chung-Ang Normal School
April 1933 Dr. Louis Yim assumed the Principalship, becoming the Founder of the School,
moved the School to the present location
May 1948 Accredited as Chung-Ang College
February 1953 Accredited as a University with a graduate school and four component Colleges.
(The Colleges of Liberal Arts & Science, Law, Business and Pharmacy)
Dr. Louis Yim installed as the First President

 
January 1965 Divided College of Liberal Arts & Science into College of Liberal Arts, College of Science & Engineering and College of Education
Established Demonstration Kindergarten, Elementary School, Boys and Girls's Middle and High School affiliated with the College of Education
February 1967 stablished Graduate School of Social Development
December 1968 Established College of Agriculture and College of Business Administration

 
June 1972 Merged School Foundation of Seorabol Art into Chung-Ang University
December 1972 Restructure College of Liberal Arts and College of Science & Engineering into College of Liberal Arts & Science and College of Engineering
January 1974 Redesignated Seorabol Art College as College of Arts
November 1978 Established Graduate School of International Management
January 1979 Established Second Campus at Ansung
December 1979 Established Graduate School of Education
November 1980 Established Graduate School of Mass Communication

 
October 1981 Established College of Foreign Languages, College of Social Science, and College of Home Economics
October 1982 Established College of Music
September 1983 Redesignate College of Agriculture as College of Industrial Science
Established Graduate School of Construction Engineering
October 1984 Established College of Construction Engineering
November 1988 Divided College of Liberal Arts & Science into College of Liberal Arts and College of Natural Sciences, and established Graduate School of Public Administration
November 1989 Established Graduate School of Industrial Management
