| Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation |
| Chung-Ang University has competent human resources and high-tech educational, research facilities and extends the academic-research-industry cooperation programs further. The Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation has performed supportive functions as an independent unit since March 2005. |
| Business Incubator Center |
| The Business Incubator was established in May, 1999, to contribute to the national competitiveness by bridging the knowledge, technology of university and companies. The Center was licensed by the Government Office of the Medium and Small Sized industries. Also, it is now designated by Government as a center for producing imaging industry facilities and applied contents(1st Campus) and life resources technology development(2nd Campus). The Center concentrates on the following concrete activities in order to provide the basis for the ¡®Venture Companies¡¯ and recruit more ¡®Venture Companies¡¯. |
| Digital Contents Resource Center(DCRC) |
| Digital contents industry is a new high-tech field and one of the most welcomed industries in the knowledge-based society. The Center establishes a cooperative interaction among the industry, academy and research by centering on the Graduate School of Advanced Imaging Science, Multimedia & Film and the Graduate School of Arts and perform research on digital contents and related areas. Also, the Center raises experts of the area, standardizes the area, develops the information system and establishes a network of DB. In so doing, the Center contributes to the industrialization and commercialization of digital contents and serves as the frontier for international competitiveness. |
| Academy-Industry-Research Consortium Center |
| The Center has been established to help small and medium-sized firms to resolve various technological problems and improve the underdeveloped technologies of those industries with competent research human resource and facilities. The Center also contributes to the innovations for those companies by providing various opportunities for collaboration with research units and cooperate enterprises, offering consulting, setting up information network, sharing research literature and providing research equipments. |
| Technology Transfer Center |
| The Center is responsible for patents, in which intellectual property rights are developed and managed by professors or staffs. In addition, the Center transfers technologies to demanders for commercializing excellent technologies. The objective of the Center is to flourish creative and active Researches. |
| Medical Center |
| Chung-Ang University Medical Center is composed of two teaching hospitals in Heukseok-Dong and Yong-San, Seoul. The Chung-Ang University Hospital, in Heukseok-Dong, was newly opended in December 2004, having a total floor space of 18,217 pyeong(0.67 million square feet) and 561 beds and total 100 professors are working, while the Chung-Ang University Yong-San Hospital, in Yong-San, opened in July 1984 by acquisition of the former Chuldo Hospital has 64 professors with a total floor space of 5,500 pyung(0.20 million square feet) and 440 beds. Chung-Ang University Medical Center has equipped, while opening the Chung-Ang University Hospital in Heukseok-Dong, new contemporary medical device (3.0T MRI. 16 Slice MD CT, etc.) and operated Total Laboratory Automatic System, Hospital Management Information System (OCS, EMR, PACS, GW, DW, ABC etc.). The Medical Center has also opended Health Promotion Center, Cardiovascular Center, Patient Referral Center, Homecare Nursing. With these new medical device and systems, the Chung-Ang University Medical Center will lead progression of the medical science and make a great effort to be one of the world¡¯s best hospitals. |
| Computer and Information Center |
| The educational environment of the 21st century is closely related to advanced information technology. Especially spread of internet and web technology requires that existing information system be changed to fit into web-based information system. It also requires that educational services be changed into e-service system. The Office of Computer and Information set up main computer system and high-speed computer networks that are most advanced among the peer universities nationwide. The Office has also established comprehensive information system. U(ubiquitous)-campus, and digitalization of information resources. As a result, the Office can boast of the most advanced digital campus far ahead of peer universities. Together with the grand goal of leaping into 100 world-best universities in 2018. the Office is doing its best in order to offer the best quality IT infrastructure and services. |
| CCTL; Chung-Ang Center for Teaching & Learning |
| The Chung-Ang Center for Teaching and Learning(CCTL) was first established as Audio-visual Room at the University in 1962. Its name has changed to Audio-Visual Center or Multi-Media Center as its functions expanded. The CCTL accordingly develops multi-media teaching methods supporting multi-media-based teaching materials promptly and cautiously. The CCTL aims at establishingand utilizing advanced educational facilities by managing and developing cyber university contents, digitalizing the teaching-learning materials and establishing a digital library, in order to meet the ever-changing situation of the recent digital technology immensely contributed to the development of the educational materials. |
| Basic Science Center |
| Having introduced the up-to-date analytical instruments of a Mass Spectrometer and 5 other main pieces of equipment by AID and PAD Funds, the Center was established in January 1970 aiming to support research and experiments for professors and students. Forty Kinds of ultra modern analytical instruments on the 1st Campus and 34 kinds on the 2nd Campus are now installed in their Analytical Instrument Lab. The Center is operated by professional personnel who support the various research activities and laboratory work professors and students with their accurate data measurements and swift analysis. |
| Art center |
| Chung-Ang University has played the most important role in leading the realm of culture and art of our nation. We opened the Art Center in October 1999, equipped with high-tech facilities. We have a 500-seat main theater equipped with most advanced lighting and sound systems, screen, reflection panel, and a revolving stage, a wing theater with 123 seats, an all-purpose art gallery, and a 400-seat art theater that is mostly for students and student associations. The Art Center also includes performing art screen rooms, pratice and seminar rooms, and lecture rooms. The Art Center is now acclaimed to be a space for artists and space for educating future artists who will lead the era of art and culture of the 21st century. |

| It was Founded to develop a continuing educating system, consisting of the Institute of Industrial Studies, The Nursery School Teachers Institute, The Institute of Computer Science and Technology, The English Language School, The Japanese Language School, The Chinese Language School, The Korean Language School and Institute of Culture & the Arts. It has successfully undertaken the role as an open university. Through the continuing education programs, students can expert to realize their life-long self development as well as to carry on the richness of their life by sharing human and material resources of the university. The headquarter has supplied the local residents with its professionalism and its efficient educational programs, faculty, educational facilities and operation. |
