a. Program duration
- Three (3) weeks, starting June 25 and ends on July 13, 2007.
b. Program schedule and Academic Credit
- Three (3) hours of classroom lectures in the morning hours Monday through Friday each week for the total of 45 classroom hours for the program. Students earn three (3) academic units of credit. All lectures are conducted in English.
c. Lectures and Cultural Activities
- Lectures are organized by blocks of topics covering Korean Folk Culture and its tradition, Performing Art, Traditional Music and Dance, and Korean Economy and Politics. Afternoon cultural programs are organized around activities introducing students to rich cache of Korean traditional musical instruments and its demonstration / performances, traditional Korean cooking/culinary experience, opportunity to participate Korean marshal arts TAEKWONDO, and field trips to various historical and cultural sites. |
