¡á BA 01293 MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION (3 credits points)

> Course Description
This course will cover the basic ingredients of the 'organization studies' including the typical class issues of general management, micro OB and macro OB. The students with good understanding in the disciplinary fields of knowledge such as psychology, sociology, economics, or history will have a good chance to review their knowledge against the managerial realities.

> Evaluation Method
There will be weekly assignments that will help the students review the class lessons and reflect against the managerial realities. If necessary, the teacher will require additional written assignments. * No mid-term exam. Exam is an essential part of the class learning. Thus, the final exam will be a very demanding 3-hour open-book session during which the students are requested to prepare their answers to the set of questions (including the case analyses) carefully prepared by the teacher.

¡á BA 03762 INTERNATIONAL STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT (3 credits points)

> Course Description
The students are expected to make an oral presentation in English in most of the sessions. The students will be assigned to a group of 5-6. Most work will be done in groups, and evaluation will have emphasis on group grades.

¡á BA 21961 INVESTMENT ANALYSIS (3 credits points)

> Course Description
Students are introduced to the general concept of investing, that is, to forego spending cash today in the hopes of increasing wealth in the future. Real assets are differentiated from financial assets, and the major categories of financial assets are defined. The risk/return tradeoff and the reality that most assets are efficiently (fairly) priced most of the time are introduced. The role of financial intermediaries is discussed as is the increased globalization of the financial markets. Students are expected to understand the overall investment process and understand some key elements involved in the investment process. Students should understand differences in financial and real assets and be able to identify the major components of the investment process. Students should be able to describe a derivative security and understand how they are used in our markets after studying this chapter.

> Course Description
We review the development of particle physics in last century and understand the fundamental structure of matter and interactions. The discussions will focus on electromagnetic aspects of EMC and EMI. Both steady state and transient issues will be pursued. Methods to mitigate interference will be peresented, with emphasis on electromagnetic shielding and circuitry designed to prevent damage to sensitive components. A general background in electromagnetic and circuit theory is recommended. There will be a review of the important topics, but previous familiarity with the topics is necessary.

> Course Description
Modern Computer Technology requires professionals of every computing specialty to understand both hardware and software. The interaction between hardware and software at a variety of levels also offers a framework for understanding the fundamentals of computing. Thus, this course is to show the relationship between hardware and software and to focus on the concepts that are the basis for current computers.

¡á PA 33795 SEMINAR IN QUALITATIVE ANALYSIS (3 credits points)

> Course Description
The goal of this course is to enable students to understand, create and critique qualitative research designs in the social sciences. The course will explore the echniques, uses, strengths, and limitations of such designs including the core issues of case study methods such as structured and focused comparisons of cases, typological theory, case selection, congruence testing etc., while emphasizing the relationships among these methods, their applications as alternative methods, and contemporary debates on them.

> Course Description

Policy makers need to know how consumers of public services behave. Knowledge of consumer behavior is essential for choosing and implementing the policy alternative which is most acceptable and effective. How can public administrators get it? We will try to answer the question in this course, applying consumer research techniques to the public sector. The course will explore concepts and methods from psychology, sociology, and anthropology that have been developed to explain consumers intentions, activities, and motivations. In this course, we will look at consumers as individuals, not citizens as a set of taxpayers, and as part of groups in learning how they think and make choices as consumers of public service. The behaviors of individual, family, and group participating in the decision processes offering public service will be studied.

Aber es gibt in der Philosophie die Theorie und die Geschichte als die Erbe der menschlichen gestigen Tatigkeit. Gerade "Einladung zur Philosophie" verschafft die Gelegenheit sie zu schmecken.

  This course is designed to provide students balanced knowledge on English language teaching curriculum from the various perspectives and backgrounds. All the readings and discussions in this course will help students to synthesize their knowledge on L2 theories to curriculum/material design/development. Several application practices will be attempted based on the national English curriculum and several ELT cases in Korea. This course offers an introduction to English syntax, mainly focusing on basic terminologies and primitive notions for further study of syntactic theories. Class discussion covers parts of speech, syntactic constructions, structures, and/or syntactic operations such as who-movement, noun-phrase movement. This course aims at introducing students to basic notions and discussion for studying English syntax. Students are expected to become familiar to such basic knowledge and be able to apply syntactic theories and hypothesis to concrete English sentences.
