Once you arrive in Korea and settle down on campus, you shoud go through several immigration procedures.

 

Students with a general Student Visa (D-2) should register their stay and get a residence permit (Alien Registration Card) at the Immigration Office.

1. Registration period: Students should apply for an alien registration card no later than one month after arriving to get the card after 7 days. CAU buddy will give you needed assistance in the application.

2. Where to apply:
● Students at Anseong Campus - Suwon Immigration Office
● Students at Seoul Campus - Mokdong Immigration Office

3. Location

Suwon Immigration Office
Stop at Suwon Station (subway line No.1) → Get on the bus No.36,37,38 heading to Gusan or take a taxi. → Go to the Administration Office on the 1st floor → Take a ticket and wait for your turn.

Mokdong Immigration Office
Stop at Omokyo Station (subway line No.3) → Walk straight to YangCheon-gu Office for 10 minutes and cross the street. → Go to the Administration Office on the 1st floor. → take a ticket and wait for your turn.

Student visa holders should extend their visas before the visa expires if they would like to continue study. It can be extended up to when your registered term finishes. Please process your request at least two weeks before your visa expires.

5. Processing fee of \30,000
6. Bank balance of more than \2,000,000


 

You can apply for reentry after stay of 91 days. You need it in case of going abroad during the study abroad period.
